I have a deep passion for health that cares for our mind, body, spirit, and community. I believe that a yoga practice supports the discovery our own unique and individual expression of wellness. My teaching encourages students to embrace each moment as a practice in becoming a highly skilled caretaker of their own health, and to foster a sense of resiliency and strength, and of safety and ease.
I am a trauma aware yoga teacher, with knowledge that is grounded in the science of the nervous system to support a solid foundation of functional and mindful movements.
I have been teaching and sharing my love for yoga for over 13 years. Initially combining my work as a Child and Youth Worker in residential treatment, I began teaching children and teen yoga after certifying through Radiant Child Yoga® and Yoga Kids Foundations. I later studied my 200hour Cross-Disciplinary certification with Deva Tree School of Yoga, and assisted teaching in the Bloom Metta Mindful Vinyasa + Therapeutics 300hr program. I am a certified Relax and Renew® facilitator with Judith Lasater, and Yoga for the Nervous System with clinical Psychologist Bo Forbes. As a lover of the human potential, I continue to further my studies in Mindful strength and Movement for trauma, and will be a forever student to the practice of yoga.
